Telngana: KCR trying to weaken Congress-led UPA, says Revanth Reddy
HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress president and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday accused chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of trying to weaken the Congress-led UPA on the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. KCR is trying to help PM Modi and strengthen the BJP-led NDA. The CM has been meeting only the leaders of political parties which are already part of the UPA or have a soft corner for it, he alleged.
"Why is KCR not meeting leaders of political parties who are neither with the Congress-led UPA or Modi-led NDA to form his so-called federal front. He could have met YS Jaganmohan Reddy of YSRCP, Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party, Naveen Patnaik of Biju Janata Dal among others. There is a strong suspicion that KCR is playing this drama on the directions of Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah," Revanth alleged.
Also, a serious attempt is being made by KCR to confuse the Congress party cadres by projecting as if he has a soft corner for Rahul Gandhi. This could be the game plan of political strategist Prashant Kishore and his team too.
The TPCC president gave a clarion call to the party cadres that there is no question of having an alliance with TRS and that they should not fall into KCR-Modi conspiracy to weaken the Congress. He appealed to them to continue their hard work to defeat TRs and BJP in the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
