T-Hub & Hexagon strike deal to set up geospatial centre in Hyd

Hyderabad : Telangana government run incubator THub on Friday said it has entered into a partnership with Swedish digital reality solutions provider Hexagon, which combines sensors, software and autonomous technologies, to build a Geospatial Experience Centre at T-Hub.

To be set up at T-Hub’s new facility, the experience centre will build solutions and products on Hexagon’s technology pl atform for the Indian as well as global markets.

The centre will provide access to Hexagon’s geospatial technology for externalresearch developments through academic and research partners.

Hexagon will provide startups opportunities such as access to hardware and software technology expertise, co-creation and co-innovation of products, support in building pilots and proofof-concept (POCs) as well as me ntorship, wherever required. The Swedish giant will also build a sandbox environment to help startups build solutions, T-Hub said.

The geospatial experience centre will be leve raged to identify innovative ideas, individuals and startups while also boosting technological capabilities for startups, such as facilitating open in-novation for early and growth stage startup s, experiments for developing POCs in the fields of geospatial technology, networking and partnership exposure and accelerating their proficiencies, it added said.

Pointing out that Hexagon Capability Cent re India (HCCI) is the single largest R&D hub of Hexagon globally, HCCI senior VP & GM Navaneet Mishra said, the collaboration with T-Hub is aimed at expanding innovation beyond HCCI’
s employee base.

“They (startups) will be able to build on top of our platforms and solutions and scale while solving real world problems,” he said.
