KTR launches six safety protocol teams to monitor water board, sewerage works

Hyderabad : The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) safety protocol vehicles were launched on Saturday by Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao. The HMWSSB has formed six safety protocol teams (SPT) to monitor the emergency works, deep manholes, and waterlogging areas.

The teams have been launched to ensure safety of the staff at the construction sites and to supervise better adherence to safety protocols. Each SPT will be provided with a vehicle, an engineer and a home guard. HMWSSB managing director M Dana Kishore said the vehicles arelinked with an app which will display map for navigating SPTs.

The SPTs can levy penalties to non-complying agencies,he added.
Meanwhile, QR code boards will be placed at work sites. People can get full details of work by scanning the code.
