KCR likely to conduct ‘Delhi Durbar’ on video leaks of ‘cash-for-defection’

Hyderabad : After releasing the third video tape pertaining to the alleged cash-fordefection case to the media, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to go to Delhi, Bengaluru and other states and organise screening of the videos on the issue.

Party leaders said the CM would likely to go to Delhi after the Munugode bypoll results are out on November 6 and show the footage on how his party MLAs were offered huge money for defection. He is also planning to meet Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in the national capital during his visit.

Sources in Chief Minister Office said KCR held consultations with some leaders and even legal experts on Friday on how to take forward the issue and ‘expose’ the conspiracy to bulldoze the TRS government without impacting the case. He had already spoken with Arvind Kejriwal a few days ago after the issue came to light. There were suggestions from party leaders that instead of the party releasingthe videos, organisations that fight for democratic rights, retired civil servants, legal luminaries and retired judges should be involved in this exercise in various states, including pollbound Gujarat state.

A list of social activists, who fight for justice and have written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on various occasions, is being readied to finish the task, a senior TRS leader said.

Interestingly, Prime Minister is landing in Telangana to open a fertilizer unit at Ramagundam on November 12. The CM wants to finish the task before the PM arrives in the state.

During the press conference on Thursday, KCR urged the Chief Justice of India and other judges to save democracy claiming that it was in danger and urged them not to see Telangana issue as an isolated case. He said irrespective of ideology, all the parties should condemn such conspiracies to pull down the elected governments.

Initially, he was planning to meet Chief Justice of India and hand over the ‘evidences’ on MLAs poaching that he had collected. But, he dropped the idea as the poaching case is pending with both Telangana high court and also in the Supreme Court. KCR, however, claimed that he had released the video as it was submitted to the court.
