The Hyderabad traffic police is cracking down on those who violate the rules by changing the number plates of vehicles, without number plates, making the number not visible, driving around on vehicles with temporary number even after the registration period has expired. Criminal cases are being registered against those who deliberately tamper without number plates. More than 100 FIRs have been registered in the special drive that started three days ago. The police warn that whoever owns the vehicle will have to face the charges.

Police outrage over violations
Police are taking this violation which is linked to crime, law and order and traffic rules seriously. While some are roaming without number plates to avoid traffic challans, others are removing and tampering with vehicle number plates to commit crimes, police investigation revealed. It has been revealed by the police that those who have correct vehicle number plates follow the rules, while those who do not have correct number plates are causing road accidents by driving their vehicles at will with confidence that no one will catch them.

Registration should be done within the deadline
Criminal cases are being registered against those who commit violations like driving without number plate of a vehicle, putting one vehicle number on another vehicle. The vehicle is purchased from the showroom and taken out with a temporary number. Registration should be done within a month. After that there is a possibility of registration with penalty. Many people are driving around with temporary number plates. Others are driving around without putting number plates on their vehicles even though they are registered. Cases will be registered if such people are caught. A charge sheet is being put on them and the vehicle is being impounded. The motorist has to appear in the court and follow the court order. The same applies to other violations.
