Sunrisers Hyderabad bought a total of 20 players during IPL 2022 auction. Washington Sundar, Nicholas Pooran, T  Natarajan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were some of the popular players bought by the team. Nicholas Pooran was the team’s top pick at Rs. 10.75 crores.

Ahead of the auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad had an available salary purse of Rs. 68 crores. The team used Rs. 22 crores to retain 3 players in their squad ahead of IPL 2022 auction. SRH retained Kane Williamson for Rs. 14 crores, and Abdul Samad and Umran Malik for Rs. 4 crores each.
