BRS will focus on 2024 LS polls: KTR

Hyderabad : The prime focus of TRS’ national avatar Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and not assembly elections in other states, TRS working president KT Rama Rao said on Friday.

Two days after BRS’ formal launch, KTR spelt out the road ahead for the pink party’s national ambitions, with neighbouring Maharashtra and Karnataka being the first hunting grounds.

The name change by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, KTR asserted, was not about politics of power but a means to bring about real change at the national level by replicating Telangana model of development.

“We are not saying thatBRS would be contesting in 28 states in the next one and half years before 2024 LS elections. Since people of neighbouring states have seen the development in Telangana and even demanded similar schemes, we have more scope there”.
